Greig Bryson

Greig joined Nikko AM in August 2014 and is a Portfolio Manager in the Global Equity team. Before joining Nikko AM, Greig was an Investment Director at SWIP, responsible for the management of European and UK mandates for both institutional and retail mandates. Greig joined SWIP in November 2007, as part of the European Equity team. Greig joined SWIP from Pioneer Investments in Dublin, where he worked as a Research Analyst. Prior to joining Pioneer, Greig was an Investment Manager at SWIP, working as part of the European Equity team, managing institutional mandates. Greig has an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Aberdeen.

Fergus McDonald

Fergus is responsible for the investment strategy, performance and compliance of Bond, Cash and Currency mandates. Twenty eight years of industry experience. Fergus has considerable experience in managing bond portfolios that combine Government stock and derivatives with corporate debt securities.

Fergus was instrumental in developing and managing New Zealand’s first corporate bond unit trust. Fergus holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics), from Victoria University of Wellington and a Certificate of Treasury Professionals. Joined in 1990.

Hugh Briscoe

Hugh is a global fixed income portfolio manager in Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM). He is a member of the Investment Committee of the Goldman Sachs UK Defined Benefit Pension Scheme. Previously, Hugh was a portfolio manager in GSAM’s Global Liquidity Management team. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2005 as an executive director and was named managing director in 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Hugh served in the British Army for 12 years. Hugh serves on the finance committee of the Special Air Service Association. Hugh earned a BA (Hons) Philosophy from Bristol University in 1992 and a masters degreee in Defence Studies from the College Interarmées De Défence, Paris in 2003.

Andrew Hunt

Andrew Hunt Economics

Prior to forming AHEL, Andrew spent over 12 years as an economist advising both the Board and portfolio managers of the Dresdner Bank Group, initially in the UK and subsequently based in the Asian Region. In the late 1980s while based in London, Andrew worked extensively on the UK’s Lawson Boom and subsequent unwinding, as well as on the various travails and ultimate break-up of the European Exchange Rate Mechanism. Andrew also covered the events that led up to the S & L Crisis of 1989-90.

Whilst in Asia, Andrew covered both the formation and bursting of the Japanese Bubble Economy and the Asian Boom and Bust of the 1990s. Indeed, it has been suggested that Andrew was one of the few economists to correctly predict both the preceding upswings and the timing and consequences of the subsequent crises that were associated with these episodes. On returning to London in the late 1990s, Andrew covered the NASDAQ Bubble and the formation of the Euro.

Andrew has an Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Bristol in the UK and an unfinished PhD on Japanese Monetary Policy formation that one day he hopes to finally complete. He is a member of the Institute of New Economic Thinking and an occasional contributor to the financial media.

Phil Moffitt

Phil is Head of Fixed Income in Asia Pacific in Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He also serves as chief executive officer of GSAM Australia and New Zealand. Philip is also a member of the Fixed Income Strategy Group within GSAM. He serves on the Australia and New Zealand Operating Committee. Previously, Philip was co-head of GSAMs Global Fixed Income and Currency business, based in London. He joined Goldman Sachs in GSAM in 1999 and was named managing director in 2002 and partner in 2004. Prior to joining the firm, Philip worked for three years as a proprietary trader for Tokai Asia Ltd. in Hong Kong. Before that, he spent ten years with Bankers Trust Asset Management in Australia, where he was a managing director with responsibility for all active global fixed income funds and a member of the Asset Allocation Committee. Philip also spent one year as a cadet economist with the Reserve Bank of Australia.
